1. WHO WE ARE

TrainTribe is a training partner finder service based in Southampton, UK. We help athletes connect with others who share their sport, level, and schedule. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at sqc1u22@soton.ac.uk.

2. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT

When you use TrainTribe, we collect:

  • —Your name and email address (when you create an account)
  • —Profile information: sport(s), fitness level, training times, and bio
  • —Profile photo (if you choose to upload one)
  • —Messages you send to other users
  • —Connection requests you send or receive

3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

We use your data to:

  • —Create and manage your account
  • —Show your profile to other users so they can find a training partner
  • —Enable you to send and receive connection requests and messages
  • —Send you service-related announcements (not marketing spam)

We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.

4. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Messages may be retained in anonymised form for service improvement.

5. YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR)

As a UK/EU user you have the right to:

  • —Access the personal data we hold about you
  • —Request correction of inaccurate data
  • —Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • —Object to how we process your data
  • —Request a copy of your data in a portable format

6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use Supabase (supabase.com) to store your data securely. Supabase is GDPR-compliant and stores data in EU-based servers. We use Vercel (vercel.com) to host the application.

7. COOKIES

We only use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify you via an in-app announcement. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
